Death Grips continue to experiment with direction they're taking their new music. While previous singles like "Black Paint" suggested a more garage rock style of production, their latest track "Flies" brings it all the way back with the glitchy, intense rap style that fans are familiar with.

The production of rapid fire bleeps and bloops somehow manages to sound as though its both rising and falling simultaneously, and record scratch-like distortions frequently turn the track on its head. MC Ride continues to bring the track off-kilter, by varying between a calm and collected voice in one line, followed by his iconic yelling in the next. The group leaves you no room to get comfortable anywhere.

The track also comes with a video, which features a stop-motion animated Ride "flying" around a backyard, as well as some trippy computer graphics.

"Flies" will be the second track off their upcoming Year of the Snitch album.

Quotable Lyrics

Dozing at the helm, road paved with vagrants
Closed casket make up, lavish euthanasia
Necro Winnebago, worship on shroom in safe zones
Hilo loose brown recluse, murdered out rainbows
