September 2016 is no more. It was a good month, a month that gave us much new music as we could handle. September 2016 saw the release of dozens of quality hip hop and R&B albums and mixtapes. The Best Hip Hop Songs (On Spotify) Of July 2016
HNHH recently launched a Spotify playlist called FIRE EMOJI: The Hottest Hip Hop Songs Right Now. The playlist is updated on a daily basis. It lives on Spotify and thus is inherently imperfect, because not all super-hot hip hop songs have been added to Spotify. Still, the playlist is generally representative of the best new releases in hip hop.

Nas' Mass Appeal has teamed up with IFC films to produce a film called "The Land," a tale of a gang of Cleveland skateboarders who enter the high-stakes molly game to pay tournament fees. Nas & co have already released a few songs from the soundtrack; now they release the full stream by way of NPR. The tracklist was announced Tuesday -- appearances from Kanye West, Pusha T, Jeremih, Erykah Badu, French Montana, Machine Gun Kelly, Nas, who executive produced the film, and many more.
