Reflective colors are all the rage in Dave East's new video for "No Stylist." The Harlemite proves himself versatile yet again, assimilating yet another memorable flow into his expanding repertoire. The BlocBoy JB's spot is just as surprising as his inclusion on the XXL list, or his provenance in the Drake vid, or any of his "moves" to date. Dave East has proven himself comfortable next to anybody, under any light. On "Us" with Gunna, he yielded to his guest's preferred style, and didn't look or sound out of place.
In the "No Stylist" video two threads emerge, never too far gone from Dave East's likeable sphere (of truth). He can be both playfully energetic and merciless in the same breath. Don't take it from me, listen to his peers; watch for sudden impact. BlocBoy JB is similarly difficult to break down, the only difference is: we know less about him.
