The Avalanches Feat. Danny Brown & MF Doom
The Avalanches' 2000 album Since I Left You is widely considered one of the best albums of the new millenium. Last night they shared their first music in over a decade: a song called "Frankie Sinatra" from their upcoming album Wildflower. "Frankie Sinatra" features Danny Brown and MF Doom rapping over a kind of tuba-driven vaudeville/calypso two-step. It's pretty bizarre, in a refreshing way.
Danny Brown & Skywlkr
Danny Brown and producer Skywlkr, who appeared frequently on XXX and Old, are back today with a remix to a song by the elusive British experimental producer known as Actress. Their source material is the title track off 2012's R.I.P., which many consider to be Actress' magnum opus, and Skywlkr adds some rattling drums and smoky bass textures to ready the soundscape for his Bruiser Brigade collaborator.
Bodies On Fairfax
Westside Gunn Feat. Danny Brown
Westside Gunn has been getting some very excellent collaborations as of late, in preparation for his album Flygod dropping this Friday, March 11. This single features Danny Brown as the two team up over an unusual instrumental for “Bodies On Fairfax.”
Hella Hoes (Remix)
A$AP Mob Feat. Danny Brown & A$ton Matthews
What feels like an eternity ago, Danny Brown complained about his "Hella Hoes" remix being cut from the song on twitter. Things were very quickly patched up between Brown and the crew, but ever since, we've been hoping to hear what Danny brought to the table. Now that the Lords Never Worry project has been completely retired, the ASAP boys have shared a new version of the song, complete with the Danny verse as well as a contribution from Aston Matthews.
Sahtyre Feat. Danny Brown
It’s been a minute since we last heard any new music from Danny Brown, but that maybe due to the fact he’s been busy lately working on the follow up to 2013’s OLD album. While we continue to wait on a release date and single to surface, Danny decides to hold fans over with something new today by jumping on LA rapper, Sahtyre’s, new single “Expertise.”
Rizzoo Rizzoo Feat. Sauce Walka & Danny Brown
Earlier this month, we introduced you to Sauce Factory's Rizzoo Rizzoo via his Sauce Twinz collab "Super Saiyan," and today, it's our pleasure to premiere his latest track. "Stiff Arm" features Sauce Walka (one half of the Twinz) and Danny Brown, making for quite the eclectic collab.
Although they both rose to prominence in the fall of 2011 (one with XXX, the other with a few otherworldly beats on A$AP Rocky's Live.Love.A$AP), Danny Brown and Clams Casino have never collaborated before. That changes today with the release of "Worth It," this week's track in the Adult Swim Singles club.
Donmonique Feat. Slayter & Danny Brown
Yesterday, Brooklyn's own Donmonique popped up to the HNHH office to play us some new music. THe highlight was one that she had just finished mixing the previous night: a bruising slice of classic NY boom bap called "Tha Low." What's more, the track featured Danny Brown, a personal favorite and someone who doesn't give out guest verses to just anyone.
Hereditary (2 Bitches)
Kembe X Feat. Danny Brown
Danny Brown is something of a tastemaker. Getting a co-sign from Brown may not be the instant catapult that a Drake verse entails, but it's more of an assurance that he's recognized something special in you, which may be worth more in the long run. Kembe X has earned the nod from Brown, as he joins him on his dark new record, "Hereditary (2 Bitches)". The two work well together, both injecting their aggressive deliveries with a good dose of charisma, as well as possessing the ability to work around unconventional beats.
Fresh Off The Boat (Theme Song)
Danny Brown's music can be heard just about anywhere. His music is played on many local radio stations and consistently pops up on your favorite blogsites, but now his music can even be heard on television. There's a new show on ABC called Fresh Off the Boat and the rapper was chosen to deliver the show's theme song. Today he unleashes the full version of the song which was previewed during last night's premiere episode of the new sit-com.
BeatKing Feat. Danny Brown
BeatKing's "BDA" has been tearing up the club for a couple years now, but it's only now earned itself a remix, and what better reason than to add a verse from the one and only Danny Brown. Turns out, the only similarity between "BDA (Remix)" and its predecessor is the demand for all listeners to "Bounce Dat Ass", as the new version replaces the instrumental with a take-off of Juvenile's classic 400 Degreez opener, "Ha".
Action Bronson Feat. Danny Brown
Grand Theft Auto games generally feature a lot of new exclusive hip hop, at least more recently, and it seems that Grand Theft Auto V will be no exception. While we heard new work from Tyler, The Creator and ASAP Rocky last time around, today we're given a brand new collaboration between "1 Train" collaborators Action Bronson and Danny Brown.
Detroit Vs. Everybody
Eminem Feat. Royce Da 5'9", Big Sean, Danny Brown, DeJ Loaf & Trick-Trick
Hours after hitting us with the Shady CXVPHER, Eminem is back again, this time recruiting his hometown homies Royce Da 5’9″, Big Sean, Danny Brown, Trick Trick, and Dej Loaf for a new record called “Detroit Vs. Everybody”.
Black Out Days (Remix)
Phantogram Feat. Danny Brown & Leo Justi
Phantogram decide to give one of their cuts off their album Voices a complete re-work, calling upon Danny Brown for a verse and Leo Justi to dabble in the production side of things.
BeatKing Feat. Danny Brown & Riff Raff
We told you earlier this year that BeatKing was an artist to watch, and it seems he now has the necessary co-signs to truly break through. The Houston sensation released his best work to date this summer, deploying first the banger-heavy Gangsta Stripper Music Vol.
Lucki Feat. Danny Brown
Lucki Eck$ just dropped off his second mixtape, Body High, at the end of last week which was pretty well received by the HNHH audience. If you haven't checked it out yet, go do that right now.
Rustie Feat. Danny Brown
It's no secret that Danny Brown is an appreciator of UK bass producers, and one of his favorite collaborators is Glasgow's own, Rustie. The Scottish beatmaker contributed to instrumentals to Danny's most recent album, OLD, and the rapper has now returned the favor by lending his maniacal vocals to "Attak", the latest release from Rustie's upcoming sophomore album, Green Language.
Busdriver Feat. Aesop Rock & Danny Brown
Busdriver has been a consistent force in in the underground for a little over a decade. Now for the first time since his 2012 album, Beaus$Eros, the rapper is preparing a new full length, titled Perfect Hair. Today, the emcee gives us the first taste of that record, which features a guest verse from fellow underground hero, Aesop Rock, and the gap-briding Danny Brown. All of the rappers are both aggressive and lyrical in their own way, and the dark, brooding instrumental brings their idiosyncrasies together quite nicely.
ZelooperZ Feat. Danny Brown
For those unfamiliar with the Detroit spitter, ZelooperZ is part of Danny Brown's Bruiser Brigade. While the spotlight's definitely been on Danny this past year, we're slowly getting introduced to his affiliates, one of which ZelooperZ. For his new mixtape, HELP, he enlists fellow Bruiser Brigade rappers only: Danny Brown and Dopehead (other Bruiser Brigade members include CHIP$, TrplBlk Mandingo, and producer SKYWLKR).
Ghostface Killah Feat. BADBADNOTGOOD & Danny Brown
Ghostface Killah teamed up with three Canadian musicians that dabble in both jazz and hip-hop (and sometimes even electronic music), BADBADNOTGOOD, for a new single "Six Degrees" which also features Detroit's Danny Brown.
