Charts Don't Lie: October 20
This week everyone's favorite dope boy Pusha T finally made his Charts debut, with My Name Is My Name. The album, which has been praised highly by most, managed a #4 debut, selling on the lower-end of the projected amount, with 75k. While it's solid numbers for a rapper who's been in the underground for most of his career, what does it say about those supporting 'real rap'? That there aren't that many?
Origins: The Samples From Danny Brown's "OLD"
OLD is Detroit emcee Danny Brown's third studio project, released on October 8th via Fool's Gold Records. The audience rating on our review of the album stands at 85%, and we feel it's one of the better offerings of 2013, both sonically and lyrically. The production was handled by Paul White, A-Trak, SKYWLKR, Oh No, Corin Roddick, Rustie, JMIKE, Darq E Freaker and BadBadNotGood, a diverse group of musicians hailing from the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
First Week Sales For Pusha T, Danny Brown & Miley Cyrus
This week's numbers are in, some more impressive than others. Pusha T's long-awaited debut, My Name Is My Name came in just under expectations, but still managed to put some "Numbers On The Boards" with 74,610 units, though unfortunately not enough to edge Drake out of the number 3 spot.
Review: Danny Brown's "Old"
It was strange when the tracklist for Old was released, as the album was divided into two different halves, but at first listen it's obvious why: they represent two sides of Danny Brown's multifaceted psyche and personality, as well as the old and the new. Garnering success after the release of his second studio album XXX last year, the Detroit-born rapper is more confident in his weirdness and originality than ever before, a major facet of his work that attracted fans; he's finally put it all on full display.
Danny Brown & A-Trak Announce "Double Trouble" Tour
Danny Brown is in the thick of his co-headlining "2 High To Die" tour with Action Bronson (and was just granted entry to play shows in Canada for the first time), but the Old emcee already has another joint tour up his sleeve. Danny will be joined by A-Trak, who on top of being a DJ (and producer of "Smokin & Drinkin" from the rapper's new album), is also the founder of Fool's Gold Records, the label Brown currently calls home.

Danny Brown Says Rappers Are Only Co-Signing Miley Cyrus Because They're Trying To Eat
Danny Brown represents his home of Detroit to the fullest, so it may not come as a surprise that he gets sensitive when other people try to claim his city. We saw this happen with Big Sean-- who is actually from the D, but Danny didn't think he lived the authentic Detroit experience. Now Miley Cyrus, of all people, is jumping on the Detroit bandwagon, and Danny isn't having any of it.

Underrated Audio: September 14-20
Last week we saw a solid output of music from artists both big and small. However, Drake took the cake with Nothing Was The Same leaking-- basically all talk revolved around Drizzy. Today let's take a look at five dope tracks that dropped in the past seven days, that are unrelated to the Toronto king. Let us know which underrated rappers you're feeling at the moment.
Lyrics Of The Week: September 13-19
There's quite a bit of repetition in the game these days, and specific bars are often overlooked (with the exception of Drake's poesy). This is an opportunity to take a closer listen and really consider what these artists have to say. We encourage your opinions. Keep in mind, these are the most noteworthy lyrics of the week, not necessarily the best. Also, it's hard to get everything right - if you notice any errors, don't hesitate to let us know in the comments section. Lines we're not quite sure about will be bolded.

Danny Brown Explains Meaning Behind "OLD", Narrows Down Release Date
Rap is a young man's game, and while he's just now gaining momentum, Danny Brown is no young man.
