XXXTENTACION's death was just as polarizing as his life. Many paid their respects while others were quick to point out the rapper's violent past. Even during his lifetime, his name wasn't brought up without allegations of domestic abuse being brought up. At one point, Spotify tried to remove them from their official playlists but faced backlash immediately which prompted them to backtrack of their decision. Danish pop group Lukas Graham actually did a cover of an XXXTENTACION song for Spotify but recently announced that they'd be removing the cover from the streaming service due to the rapper's "violent history."
A cover of XXXTENTACION's chart-topping single "SAD!" by Danish pop group Lukas Graham has been taken down from Spotify after the group learned about the numerous violent accusations against the late rapper.
"Our cover of SAD will be taken down ASAP," frontman of the group Lukas Forchhammer said. "I had no knowledge of his violent history. I’m very sorry for the pain I’ve caused. Again, I’m very sorry."

At the time of X's death, he was still facing numerous charges related to domestic violence including aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and witness tampering. Miami-Dade County state attorney's office released a recording of XXXTENTACION confessing to the domestic abuse allegations as well as stabbing nine people. Prior to the recording surfacing online, it was revealed in August that the domestic violence case was dropped in wake of his death.
