A friendly exhibition game between the Italian national team and the Netherlands over the weekend was anything but friendly.
During the game, Danilo Gallinari threw a haymaker at Netherlands' Jito Kok after a hard foul, and injured his right thumb in the process. While the injury won't require surgery, Gallo was taken to the hospital and is expected to miss three to four weeks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 28-year old forward signed a three-year $65 million deal with the Los Angeles Clippers earlier in July as part of a sign-and-trade with the Denver Nuggets.
