D. Loc, best known for his memorable appearance on Ty Dolla $ign's Free TC, has returned with a brand-new track called "Get Down," featuring that titular TC and AD as well. A slinky, Wu-Tang-esque piano intro segues into some decent bar spitting, with the rappers' delivery enhanced by the solid groove set forth in the production.
The new song does take a cue from "All I Do," D. Loc's release from 2016, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, I'd say that the flow he exhibited there has carried over to "Get Down" and even improved over time. The lyricism could perhaps use some tweaking, but the progression shown on this new record is really encouraging.
