Curren$y's prolific stretch has extended into 2017.
Curren$y shared some exciting, if not unexpected news on Instagram last night -- he's got another project on the way. The New Orleans rapper kept up a monthly release schedule throughout 2016, and it seems he won't be slowing down in the new year, as he revealed an EP titled Jetlanta will drop this coming Friday.
Spitta had previously vowed to stay quiet until his April album release, but he claims he's not breaking his word, as Jetlanta will be a collaborative effort with his Jet Lief artists TY and Cornerboy P. "The decision was made about 15 minutes ago," he says in a video posted to Instagram. According to the N.O. rapper, he laid 20 tracks during his recent trip to Atlanta, 6 of which were recorded with his Jetlife fam, which will make up the songs on the upcoming project.
