Curren$y is readying his new mixtape, New Jet City, which he just announced will have a February 3rd release date. The ultra-prolific emcee has also been gradually letting out details on the features and production credits via twitter.

According to Spitta's tweets, the Superbowl Sunday-dropping tape will feature guest appearances by it-rapper Trinidad Jame$, R&B crooner Lloyd, as well as Young Roddy and Jadakiss. The production announcements seem to find Spitta in familiar territory, as he'll be lending his laid-back delivery to instrumentals from breezy beatmakers Thelonius Martin, Harry Fraud and Statik Selektah. No telling if Curren$y's cryptic tweet from earlier this week, commenting on the email of beats he received from distinctive trap producer Lex Luger, has any relevance to the "New Jet City" project.

Curren$y also commented earlier that the tape may serve more as a showcase of Young Roddy's talent than his own. "I’ve got New Jet City - that’s more like a compilation, but it’s not because I’ll be on like five records, and maybe Roddy will drive the majority and everybody else will be on it," he said. New Jet City is what I’m doing. That’s Curren$y Presents…New Jet City. The way I’m sketching it out in my mind, Roddy will probably drive and take the wheel on that one, like most of it. I’ll do like five, get out the way and let the homie drive.”
