A few days ago, several tweets and Instagram posts appeared to show Cuban Doll speaking out about domestic violence and showing off bruises she obtained at the hands of her boyfriend, Glo Gang associate Tadoe. The video, recorded during an Instagram live stream, showed Cuban revealing the marks on her face after Tadoe allegedly beat her up for speaking to Tekashi 6ix9ine. While she has played off the situation coyly for the last few days, Cuban issued a public statement on her Instagram today about domestic violence, noting that she has been a victim of it multiple times.

The message begins, "I've been scared to speak out on this situation but I refuse to continue to hurt in silence. This isn't the first or second or third time that this has happened to me. It has been happening for a while and I never spoke about it publicly because I never want people to think that I'm weak." The rapper goes on to state that a man should never hit a woman under any circumstances, including a lengthy caption on the side. "Domestic violence is no joke ! Y’all making one big joke out of this making songs & memes but what if it was your mother then what I guess y’all would laugh in her face & tell her she deserve everything that’s happening and for a 26yr old man to go and make a song with some younger kid just shows you there [sic] true colors," wrote Cuban, referring to the "I Kill People" song that Tadoe has in the works with Trippie Redd and Chief Keef.

video was posted of the rapper celebrating Tekashi 6ix9ine's birthday earlier today and it is unclear whether the two are simply friends or if there is something more brewing. Read Cuban's full statement below.
