Cozz's sophomore mixtape Nothing Personal is a pretty good indicator of his MC skill set, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a moment on that project in which he snaps as hard as he snapped on "Let Em Know".

Cozz Feat. Boogie
VERY HOTTTTT
If you didn't catch Cozz's wave when he dropped his Dreamville debut, Cozz & Effect, then now's the time. The rapper, who also appeared on the recent Revenge of the Dreamers 2 compilation, came through last night with his new mixtape Nothin Personal. The project is primarily produced by Cozz affiliate Meez, who helps tie a cohesive sound together. One of the stand-outs on the tape features an HNHH favorite, Boogie, "City of God."

Cozz has released a new track, "Who Said," on the eve before he drops his new mixtape, Nothin Personal. "Who Said" is another Meez-produced joint off the tape, following last week's "My Side." "Who said I ain't gotta flow? Point 'em out, let a n*gga know," raps the Dreamville emcee, with a major chip on his shoulder.

Dreamville's Cozz has released a new track, "My Side," from his upcoming mixtape, Nothin Personal, which drops January 4. Over a creepy late-night beat from Meez and D2, Cozz raps about how he can only trust those closest to him and how, at this point in his career, he doesn't have love to give to anyone not on his team.

Cozz is yet anopther promising rapper from L.A., earning a co-sign from J. Cole and eventually signing to his Dreamville imprint. Still, he's hardly been using Cole's endorsement as a crutch, carving out his own lane of precise West Coast rap. He's shared a new record as part of Salewds a new compilation mixtape put together to pay tribute to late Crooks & Castles marketing manager, Lewds. Closing the track with some off-the-dome freestyling, the rapper shouts out the brand.

Today we came across Los Angeles rapper Mani Coolin, thanks to the premiere of his new collaboration with Cozz, "Free My Mind." I'll admit, it was Cozz's name that had me initially check out the track, but it was well worth it. Mani Coolin is prepping his debut project Hope4TheYouth, which he's leading with this single "Free My Mind."

Cozz has seen a sudden rise to fame thanks to a deal with J. Cole's Dreamville imprint, although we still haven't heard much music from the MC. However, everything he has dropped so far has been pure fire, and thus a pretty good indication of why Cole signed him in the first place. The rapper recently popped up on our 21 Dope Rappers 21 & Under for good reason.

Cozz is quickly making a name for himself, no doubt inking a deal with J. Cole's new Dreamville imprint helped him along. Before he got signed, we spotted him when he dropped a music video for "Dreams", a song we were definitely fucking with.

It's been a big year for South Central L.A.'s Cozz, who recently signed to J. Cole's Dreamville imprint. After releasing his video for "Dreams" back in March, the MC had labels calling him nonstop, and he seems to have chosen a good one. Dreamville will release Cozz's upcoming debut album, Cozz & Effect, and now we've received a new track from the project.

We first came across the South Central native Cozz with his music video for "Dreams." It was the unsigned rapper's very first official release, and was (perhaps surprisingly) strong. The raw record found Cozz displaying his lyrical skills in a relate-able way. If you missed that watch it first here.
