Last month, The Game reportedly punched a man during a pick-up basketball game, and that man happened to be an off-duty cop. While we hadn't heard any updates on the story for a minute, we had the feeling that a lawsuit could be on its way, and today that prediction has been confirmed.
According to TMZ, while Game has claimed that the attack was inspired by the victim's threat to pull a weapon on the rapper, the officer (real name Onyebuchi Awaji) says the rapper came at him unprovoked. The suit also states that he may have suffered brain damage from Game's fist.
Later on he says the Compton rapper fled the scene when he learned the police had been called.
So far, Game has not responded publicly to the suit. We'll keep you update on any updates on the story.
