Chuck D has given us a release date for Public Enemy's next album.
The rapper confirmed to HipHopDX through a text message that a new album is indeed on the way, and will be here by next week on July 4th. Nothing Is Quick In The Desert is the group's 15th studio album. “The record business is appearing like a desert,” Chuck told HipHopDX of the title. “But the music has a life if you look at it right.”
Chuck D is currently on tour with his supergroup "Prophets Of Rage" which consists of Cypress Hill’s B-Real, and DJ Lord, as well as Rage Against The Machine’s Tim Commerford, Tom Morello and Brad Wilk. Considering the Public Enemy group has always had a conscious political foothold in their music, they'll likely have a lot to say on their next project.
