Chip Tha Ripper announced today that he will be now be known as King Chip, as well as revealed his new home at talent agency CAA.
Chip Tha Ripper announced two big changes via Twitter today.
The Cleveland, Ohio rapper announced a name change, from Chip Tha Ripper to King Chip. He also revealed he signed a deal with talent agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
Chip now calls home CAA, an agency which also includes the likes of Kanye West.
He tweeted about his new name, "I am King Chip. Actually born in the ghetto slums of east Cleveland, Ohio. Rest in Peace my mentor & former King Hawk. His death made me...." Continuing later, "My birth name is Charles Jawanzaa Worth. "Jawanzaa is Swahili and it means "great leader and great warrior". Look it up. I am King Chip."
Chip's currently working on his album titled after his real name, Charles Worth.
