While we patiently await for the long overdue joint project with Chance The Rapper, it appears that Childish Gambino is getting ready to do his own thing and drop off a new DJ Drama and Gangsta Grillz-hosted mixtape titled STN MTN / KAUAI.
Taking to his personal website a little while ago, ‘Bino decided to reveal the mixtape’s artwork, along with its strange title. By the looks of it, it’s quite possible that this could be either a double-disc mixtape, or just a mixtape with a short film included (See artwork).
Now whats it all mean? Some believe "S T N M T N" is short for "Stone Mountain", which is a physical location near the Atlanta area. What's rather interesting though is that Gambino just dropped off a track over the weekend called "Candlers Road", which too is a physical location near Atlanta, and only a few miles away from Stone Mountain.
At the bottom of the artwork however, there's another title, "Kauai", which could be the second tape or Glover’s next short film featuring Jaden Smith as "The Boy". Nothing has been confirmed as what it all means, but we at least know a new 'Bino mixtape is on the way!
