Chance The Rapper To Serve As Grand Marshall At Chicago's Bud Billiken Parade This Summer

Chance The Rapper is coordinating one of Chicago's biggest parades this Summer.

Following his generous million dollar donation to the Chicago Public School system on Monday, Chance the Rapper announced Tuesday night that he will be serving as the Grand Marshall at the annual Bud Billiken Parade in Chicago this Summer. The parade & event, which started back in 1929, is the oldest and largest African American parade in the United States. The focus of the parade is getting kids ready to go back to school.

“I don’t know if y’all know. If y'all heard yet Chicago. But this year August 12th, your boy Chance The rapper, Im the Grand Marshall of this year’s Bud Bilikin parade. Maybe you don’t know what that means, I’m coordinating the Bid Biliken Parade,” Chance says in hs IG clip.

Look for the performance to go down August 12 inChicago’s Washington Park on the southside. Check out Chano’s announcement (below).
