Even though he’s been featured on a ton of new songs these past few months, most notably on the intro for Kanye’s latest album The Life Of Pablo, Chance The Rapper hasn’t released a solo project in a hot minute. But good news fam, that may be changing here later this month.

According to a report from Esquire, the Chicago native announced during a live show at NYC that his next mixtape is dropping in April. Apparently, the announcement was made in between songs, and can be quoted “Third mixtape coming next month.” (Sidenote: show went down on March 31, meaning April as in next month)

If this is indeed true, the upcoming project would be Chance’s first solo effort since 2013’s Acid Rap. No other details are known about the rumored project, but for what it’s worth, both solo tapes from Chance have dropped in April, so it would definitely make sense.

Keep your eyes peeled for an official announcement and/or release date to surface in the coming weeks. Fingers crossed.
