Last week, Cardi B revealed that she and Offset were going their separate ways after a whirlwind romance that included a secret marriage, a baby girl, and a few hit records all in the span of one year.
Shortly after, she was tasked with gracing the stage at the B96 Jingle Bash in Chicago this weekend alongside the likes of Mike Posner, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Lauv, and Why Don't We.
Naturally, her set was one of anticipation and she delivered on her routine set of hits, plucked from her Invasion Of Privacy album and beyond, including her memorable verse from Migos and Nicki Minaj collabo "MotorSport." During her rendition of the verse, however, she decided to change the lyrics up just a bit to better serve her current relationship status. Where Cardi typically raps, "I get up, set off/I turn Offset on/I told him the other day/Man, we should sell that porn," she t switched it up by saying, "I get up, set off/I turn Offset on/I told him the other day/Yeah, we gon' get a divorce."
Cardi's announcement of her pending divorce from Offset was one that was met with an equal mix of surprise and expectancy from the general public. Since going public with her news, though, Cardi's been taking major wins in the process. It was while leaving a court appearance in which she was released without bail that she also found out that she was nominated for a total of 5 GRAMMY awards, including Album of The Year.
