Cam'Ron's favorite crackhead is back in the second episode of the "Giles Investigation," a humorous but troubling portrayal of addiction in the projects.
Cam'Ron is back with episode 2 of his new web series, the "Giles Investigation." As with the first one, episode 2 stars the comedian-turned-crackhead known as Face. Once again, Cam's "investigation" is both humorous and heartbreaking, providing a real-life look at the trappings of drug addiction in the hood.
The episode starts with footage of Cam visiting Face at 4AM in order to see what he can get him to do for $40, the amount needed to supply his fix. His request is a seemingly dangerous one, as he asks Face to walk into oncoming traffic and bust a few breakdance moves while doing so. Cam does remind Face to be careful, to which he responds, "I ain't gonna try to kill myself." Cam then tells him, "Well, you killing yourself smokin' that shit." "Yeah, but at least I have more fun," says Face.
They go outside into a bleak New York winter's night, and Face makes several ventures back and forth across a relatively busy street. The stunt eventually gets interrupted by cops, who tell them to go have their fun "anywhere but the middle of the street." After exhausting all the moves from his limited repertoire, Face is ready for his $40, and at first, Cam vows to give it to him the next day, which, unsurprisingly, enrages the former comedian and eventually drives him to tears. After finally forking over the money, Face runs straight to the dealer. It's certainly a troubling investigation, but Cam has certainly given viewers some painfully real documentary work.
