Hip-hop heads know that Busta Rhymes has been low-key one of the most consistent rappers to ever do it. With a solid catalog and one of the game's illest flows, there might be few rappers more underrated than Bus-a-Bus. And while he may not be operating in his prime, the legendary Busta Rhymes remains a formidable and respectable force in the rap game. Over the past little while, Busta has been really representing his Jamaican roots, and it looks like he's bringing his culture to the table in his upcoming single "Girlfriend."

The track is set to feature Canadian rapper Tory Lanez, as well as Jamaican dancehall icon Vybz Kartel, which certainly indicates the sonic direction this joint may be heading. Busta recently revealed the artwork for the single, which features a woman giving a sultry gaze while decked out in some Mad-Max inspired lingerie. More importantly, he dropped a little preview for the Rockwilder produced banger, though it should be noted that we get little in the way of actual bars. Still, the taste we do get indicates a heavy Caribbean influence, and there's no doubt Busta will be busting out some Patois on this one. With Tory and Vybz tagging along for good measure, it wouldn't be surprising if this one managed to slide in as a late-summer smash.

If you're interested in some new vibes from Busta, the track is officially set to drop on Friday, August 25th. "Girlfriend" marks Busta Rhymes' first release since signing a deal with Epic Records, and it wouldn't be surprising if news on the upcoming Busta Rhymes album begins to surface. What do ya'll think?
