Pharrell's artist, Buddy has been pretty quiet as of late, but he'll be dropping his full project Idle Time tomorrow, and he's come through with one last preview before the project impacts.
"Smoke Signals" is produced by P, and bears the same grown and sexy disco sound that the super-producer reinvented last year, as well as a low-key guest spot from Miley, who mainly acts as a reverberated background refrain.
The verse melody is very reminiscent of the songs Justin Timberlake and Pharrell have written together.
It's possible that the song is a holdover from the initial Bangerz sessions, before the production on the album changed hands from Pharrell to a Mike- WiLL-helmed affair.
