Boy George has taken to Twitter to criticize Eminem for homophobic "Rap God" lyrics.
Boy George is the latest to take offence to Eminem's use of the words "fag" and "faggot" on his new single "Rap God". Although he apparently has yet to hear the record, the openly gay English singer-songwriter took to Twitter to voice his opinion.
"Fag? Is this really recovery talk or are you running your own program these days?" George tweeted at Eminem. "Really unhelpful."
During the first verse of the track, Eminem can be heard rapping "I'll still be able to break a motherfuckin' table over the back of a couple of faggots and crack it in half," followed by "you fags are all the same." Also, later in the track, he raps: "Little gay-looking boy / So gay I can barely say it with a straight face-looking boy / You witnessing massacre like you watching a church gathering taking place-looking boy / 'Oy vey, that boy's gay,' that's all they say looking-boy / You take a thumbs up, pat on the back, the way you go from your label every day-looking boy."
The singer also expressed his disappointment in the media's reception of the single.
"Isn't it sad how the media just accepts abuse of gay people? Fucked."
What do y'all think? This certainly isn't the first time Em' has come under fire for his lyrics, homophobic or otherwise. Listen to the track and read George's tweets below, and read the rest of the lyrics at gotbars.com.
@ChloeGMFanspage I don't know him. I just object to the use of the term 'Fag. On any grounds but especially from a recovering addict!— Boy George (@BoyGeorge) October 17, 2013
Hilarious. I haven't heard this record? I just object to the term 'fag'. http://t.co/F0lZYkMiAp— Boy George (@BoyGeorge) October 19, 2013
@AnotherStan13 It's so queer! I've never met him so I can only comment on what he says in his music.— Boy George (@BoyGeorge) October 17, 2013

One's sexuality should be like one's faith. Secure. Sadly, this is rarely the case!— Boy George (@BoyGeorge) October 19, 2013
