A few hours before the Bow Wow's private jet flex went wrong, he filmed an interview with Desus & Mero at VICE HQ in Brooklyn. During this interview, he told a story about the time Michael Jordan threw out his Iverson sneakers and replaced them with Jumpmans.
Bow Wow explained that he was a huge Allen Iverson fan growing up, and he even donned the #3 instead of #23 in "Like Mike," despite the fact that the film is basically a Michael Jordan tribute. Every time Bow Wow's tour went through Chicago, he stayed at MJ's house.
"I went over there with my AIs on, and I woke up and they was gone," he recalled. "Mr. Jordan came in there, I was sleeping on the floor of Marcus [Jordan's] room. Kicked me up, 'Aye, all of y'all wake up.' Swear to god. [Holds up imaginary pair of Iversons] Whose is these? And who has Duke shorts on in my house?' I said, 'Those are mine, Mr. Jordan.' He was like, 'Yeah? I figured.'"
MJ then threw out his Iversons and got his assistant to fetch a pair of Jordans.
