Some guys have all the luck when it comes to social media. Bow Wow is not one of those guys.

The rapper caught up with TMZ to defend the video he posted to Instagram of fans chasing after him on the streets of Charlotte. Naturally, the Internet wasn't having any of it and promptly roasted him for the video looking very staged. He's currently on tour with Jermaine Dupri and told viewers that it was mainly a matter of geography.

"Our tour buses was parked, like, not really where they're supposed to be," he said. "I remember just being at the top of the loading dock with Jermaine, and Jermaine is like, 'Yo, you cannot go out there.' I'm like, 'Look, I'm not about to stand here in the loading dock all day. We gotta get to the bus.' So I told him, I said, 'Well, I'm going to try to run around the crowd,' and he's like 'Good luck.'"

Bow Wow says that he was initially walking through the crowd no problem. "It was smooth until, like, one grabbed my shirt and I said 'OK, I'm about to just make a dash'," he explained.
