Boogie's Top 5 Thirsty Social Media Experiences
A significant amount of Boogie's excellent new mixtape Thirst 48 Part II is about the intricacies of interacting with women in social media. We asked Boogie to share his five thirstiest social media encounters:
Boogie "Nigga Need" Video
Boogie's Thirst 48 Part II is a meditation on social media and his relationships with women. It is one of the best mixtapes of the year. Now, Boogie's new music video for "Nigga Need" features one of the most original hip hop video concepts of the year.
Boogie "No Way" Video
Our homie Boogie recently got the ball rolling for the highly anticipated Thirst 48 Pt. 2 mixtape with the breezy Dana Williams collaborations, "Sun Roof." That song featured an acoustic guitar, and was an all-around smooth and turned down collaboration. This latest leak, not so much.

The Game Feat. Problem & Boogie
A day after announcing the tracklist for Streets of Compton, The Game returns with the video for the project's first single "Roped Off."
Boogie Freestyles Over "Ice Cream Paint Job"
After taking a little break from releasing new music, Boogie came back in a big way last week, dropping both "Out My Way (Bitter Raps II)" and the Tink-assisted "Catching Feelings" and getting us very hype for his next project.
Boogie "The Ladder" Documentary
Almost two weeks back, Boogie shared his great tape The Reach, giving us twelve new tracks of dope West Coast music. Today, he shares a mini-documentary on his neighborhood, his family and his new project. Entitled "The Ladder," it takes its name from a quote from Boogie's DJ, Dezzie: "Boogie, right now, he's like the ladder to another world that people aren't in right now."
Boogie Details Mentality Behind "The Reach"
Boogie premieres his mixtape The Reach today on HNHH. Jeah!! The Long Beach rapper came by HNHH offices recently to discuss the tape in detail. Boogie explains the twofold inspiration for the mixtape title; he's constantly reaching for success and, as he explains, "my homies reaching in my goddamn comfort zone."
Boogie Freestyles Over "What Happened To That Boy" On Shade 45
A few days ago, Boogie ("The Beast") paid us a visit and dropped a fire acappella freestyle, and while he was still in NYC, did his thing over at Shade 45. Visiting Statik Selektah during his Showoff Radio program on the station, the Long Beach native took on Birdman and The Clipse's classic record "What Happened To That Boy" (also a favorite of ESPN's Doug Collins).
Boogie Spits An Exclusive Freestyle
Boogie's had a relatively quick rise in the rap game, undoubtedly thanks to the fact that he sounds like he's been doing this for years. Although he only put out his first proper mixtape, Thirst 48, last summer, when we spoke to him at the time he confirmed he'd been playing around with raps for a minute before finally h
Boogie "Oh My" Video
Last year, Boogie popped up on our radars with his dope tape Thirst 48, and soon enough, he'll be sharing the follow-up, entitled The Reach. It's our pleasure to premiere his newest track, the Jahlil Beats-produced "Oh My" (download that here), which comes accompanied by a video.
Heems, Tory Lanez, Michael Christmas & More Share Their Craziest SXSW Stories
After giving you the run-down on SXSW essentials, the next piece of content you need is some crazy stories. You know rappers got stories on deck, so we asked Heems (formerly of Das Racist), Migos, Tory Lanez, Michael Christmas, OG Maco, Charlie Red and more some of their craziest experiences at SXSW. A few choice highlights: Heems: "One time I saw a hipster beat the shit out a crackhead."
A-Trak, Migos, OG Maco & More Share SXSW Essentials
As you probably noticed last week, much of the music industry made their way to Austin, Texas for the annual SXSW music conference. Rap showcases have become prevalent at SXSW in recent years, and this year was no different, with rappers roaming the streets and doing as many shows as they can fit into their hectic schedules.
On The Come Up: Boogie
You've probably seen Boogie on the site before, he made it on to our year end lists with his Thirst 48 mixtape, and we also did an introductory interview with him way back when. However, consider this the formal introduction, where you'll find out everything you need to know about Boogie from the man himself.
Boogie On Sway In The Morning
We introduced you to Boogie this past summer, when we premiered his mixtape Thirst 48. The debut effort was strong enough to garner the Long Beach, CA rapper a healthy buzz, and so the rapper got on the airplane for the very first time in his life to do some press out in NYC.
Boogie "Bitter Raps" Video
Boogie is a West Coast rapper whom we introduced you to with his debut mixtape Thirst 48. Before that came out though, we just had this song "Bitter Raps" to go off of, and it alone peaked our interest in the rapper. His casual flow reels off a list of things he's over-- fakes, every L.A. rapper trying to be like YG, weak blunts for the purpose of selfies, bitches calling him 'bro' when they've already fucked...Feel him?
Boogie "Let Me Rap" Video
Boogie dropped his long awaited Thirst 48 mixtape earlier today on HNHH, and one of the early highlights, "Let Me Rap", has already been given the official video treatment. The smooth, summer-ready track gets a suitably laid-back visual, with Boogie kickin' it and smoking with friends. One kid in particular gets a pretty good look, throwing out his best rap stances out as Boogie raps in front of him.
Boogie "Do It Like We" (Official Music Video)
HNHH premieres a new music video plus the audio for Boogie's latest release "Do It Like We" off the Long Beach rapper's forthcoming debut project, "Thirst 48", due out in the spring. The visual serves as a great intro to Boogie, as he takes us grocery shopping with his son, drives around his neighborhood giving us a look at local spots, and hangs out with his homies. It's almost like a day in the life. Directed by Jack Wagner. Head to HotNewHipHop.Com to get the MP3 : http://hnhh.co/seajfi
