Bones released his last mixtape, PaidProgramming2, in July. He is now gearing up for the release of a new project called SoftwareUpdate1.0. Yesterday, he teased the project with "TermsAndCondtions," a song that keeps consistent with Bones career-long rejection of fame.
Rapping over a dark beat created by Bleach, Bones speaks directly to a girl who is angling to transform her good looks into fame and fortune. He advises her against it, for it would drive an ironic wedge between her and society. He goes on to imply that even his own fans don't know him. "Thinking you know me from a song is like summing up someone from a voicemail," he drones.
hope that you get all the fame
dance around on top the stage get everything you dreamed
then tell me bones "it just don't feel the same"
you still get soaked in the rain
money don't exclude you from pain
fame ain't nothing but a single syllable that we use to say
