Blackbear actually got his start co-writing the hit Justin Bieber single "Boyfriend," before branching out to pursue an artistic career of his own. Now, the Los Angeles based rapper, singer, and producer has been hard at work on his new mixtape Cybersex, which features the leadoff single "Playboy Shit," a track that premiered exclusively on PornHub. On Cybersex, Blackbear pulls in a whole legion of big name features, ranging from 2 Chainz (who is popping up everywhere in 2017), Rick Ross, T-Pain, Cam'Ron, Machine Gun Kelly, Tinashe, Ne-Yo, Paul Wall, Riff RaFF, THEY. and more.

Despite the extensive hip-hop guest roster, Cybersex has all the trappings of a pop album, with a heavy focus on melodies, materialistic lyrical content, and polished production. Blackbear's biggest strength is possessing a keen ear for songwriting, a skill which certainly comes through on this project. As long as you don't go in expecting any life-changing bars, Cybersex is a straightforward, melodically pleasant piece of hip-pop.
