Black Milk somehow never made it what one might consider "the bigtime," but the 32-year-old Detroit native is arguably the most consistent hip hop producer on the planet. He's been more or less laying in the cut since releasing his 2014 album If There’s a Hell Below. Today he shares a treat for his fans in the form of a buttery smooth jam entitled "Like I Need It All."
Black Milk's production chops tend to overshadow his rapping ability. Both are present on "Like I Need It All"... he layers celestial synths and tasteful piano over a pocket drum groove and one of the most soulful bass lines you will ever hear. Let's hope "Like I Need It All" augurs big things to come from Black Milk in 2016.
