Chicago has a rich history of rap, and it's sound continues to grow every day. Alongside drill, bop, and footwork is an artist like BJ The Chicago Kid, who often looks back to past music of his region to find inspiration. "Where I'm From" is a take off of Anthony Hamilton's 2003 record of the same name. While Hamilton doesn't actually hail from Chi, his close work with Kanye West ties him to the city forever.

Continuing with the Kanye parallel BJ recruits J. Ivy, a poet you may recognize from his feature on The College Dropout, for the track. The record is set for the Lead Never Follow compilation which will also feature contributions from Spenzo, Giftz, and Taylor Bennett.

Quotable Lyrics:
I tried to be good
Tried to keep from trouble
Tried to live fast
Trying to make good on hustle
