Three years after dropping his debut album In My Mind, BJ the Chicago Kid creeps back onto the scene with his sexy, soulful "Time Today." The 24-year-old Illinois artist belts out an R&B single that gives off classic vibes. “This is the song that you play when you finally have time, the song you play as you imagine having the time and the song you send to that loved one to prepare for that time," he told Billboard. "This song simply lets that person know that they’re never forgotten about.”

"Time Today" is the first single from BJ's forthcoming project 1123, slated for release this summer. For the last three years he's been touring In My Mind, a record that has won him numerous accolades. “We worked In My Mind all the way to literally last year,” says BJ. “And it brought many blessings like the Grammy nominations, performing the national anthem at President Obama’s farewell speech and singing all around the world.”

Quotable Lyrics

Brown sugar and honey is all I see, oh babe
Let me dive in (Dive in)
Let me hide in (Oh)
Put me in my place, sit it on my face
Come ride it like you got keys, girl pull up on me
