Nate Parker is the director of the new film, "Birth of a Nation," which is hitting theatres tomorrow. We've already got to hear some of the music featured in the film, with the stream for the soundtrack arriving last Friday. This morning the movie's director sat down with The Breakfast Club to discuss the film, and share some history on Nat Turner as well.

The interview begins with Parker detailing his interest in Nat Turner as well as giving listeners the 411 on who Nat Turner is for those uninformed. From there he goes on to speak on his struggle to make the movie a reality-- it took him in eight years to get to this point. Finally, they touch on the media digging up old rape allegations, and receiving a ton of publicity for that matter, even though Parker was acquitted.

Check out the new interview.
