This has been a very quiet year for Big Sean. Although it's only been one year since he released Double Or Nothing with Metro Boomin, it feels like he's been gone for longer than that. It doesn't help that he's been absent from social media for months. We had assumed that he was working on new music, as he promised when he cancelled his tour this year. It appears as though he was spending most of his time in the studio. His equally reclusive girlfriend Jhené Aiko released a breakup song this week, signalling that the two may no longer be together, and now Sean is much more active online. He's also started to tease his return to music.

While he's not being entirely direct, Big Sean's latest two posts seem to confirm that we'll be hearing some new vibes from him sooner rather than later. In the first post, he clarifies his absence was meant as a moment of "soul searching" adding that he "found a lot." He wrote, "I’ll tell you bout it soon enough." Sean went a little closer to the point in his next upload, simply telling fans that he'll be "back soon."
