Big Sean is off the hook in the sexual abuse case he picked up last August in New York. The G.O.O.D. Music artist plead guilty to a lesser charge in court today (October 26) and was sentenced to a mere $750 fine.
“I am pleased to announce that after further investigation the Niagra County District Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue any of the sexual misconduct allegations against Mr. Anderson,” Big Sean’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, told XXLMag.com. “As a result in order to get this entire ordeal behind him Mr. Anderson agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of unlawful imprisonment with a $750 fine. Mr. Anderson regrets any misunderstandings that occurred that day and reiterates he did not engage in any type of sexual misconduct. “
As previously reported, Sean was arrested and charged with third-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching and second-degree unlawful imprisonment charges after a female issued a complaint that she had allegedly been sexually assaulted, back on August 4. The incident followed the Lewiston Festival, where Big Sean performed.
Sean’s associate, Willie Antonio Hansbro, also accepted the same plea deal.
Sean has yet to issue a statement regarding the case.
