The Lion King director John Favreau reportedly wants Beyonce to voice the role of Nala in the upcoming remake.
Beyonce is Favreau's "top choice" for Nala according to Variety, though she has yet to make a decision on the film. Although she is pregnant with twins, the studio and Favreau will reportedly do whatever it takes to accommodate her schedule for this voice-acting role.
Donald Glover has already been cast to voice Simba and James Earl Jones will be returning to play the role of Simba's father, Mufasa.
Production on the CGI "reimagining" of the 1994 film is scheduled to start in May of this year.
