When reports that Jay Z was working on a Lemonade response album surfaced earlier this month, many assumed that this would be a solo venture. But it looks like it might be a collab. According to Page Six, he has been working on an album with Beyonce in secret, and they plan to drop the album on TIDAL very soon.
“Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after Lemonade," a source told Page Six. "It’s more their style to respond through music.”
The cynic wonders if the urgency to increase the TIDAL user base played a role in the creation of this alleged album. The idealist is excited at the prospect of this album -- with tracks like ’03 Bonnie & Clyde,” "Crazy in Love," "Lift Off," and "Drunk in Love" under their belt, Jay and Bey have a pretty good track record together.
