In this installment of Between The Lines, Emilio Rojas analyzes his bars from the first verse of his new single "Imagine That," in which he stages an inquisition of the various private institutions that disproportionately prevent people living in poor and minority communities from attaining their goals.

He starts off by explaining the verse's critique of private banks, drug laws, and lack of access to quality food in the inner city. "There's no Whole Foods in the hood," he says. He then castigates the prison-industrial complex before finishing with a lament for the poor quality of education in urban America.

Now that's a verse.
