A photo recap of the best hip-hop moments from Coachella weekend 1.

One down, one to go. The first half of Coachella is now over with, and weekend #2 is gonna have to bring a helluva lot of surprises if it wishes to live up to this past weekend. As has been the case in recent years, hip-hop has already been a major part of the lineup. Fans who stormed the grounds to see A$AP Rocky's headlining show were treated to superstar cameos from ScHoolboy Q and Kanye West. The first weekend has already showcased some of Cali's best talent, including YG, Vince Staples, and Anderson. Paak, though the crowds were more than welcoming to the visitors from afar, like Joey Bada$$ and Rae Sremmurd.

The young talent listed above was matched by the OGs, as Ice Cube brought out members of N.W.A. as well as Snoop Dogg. Even the daytime sets were filled with guest appearances. Nas came out to support his Mass Appeal signees El-P and Killer Mike, aka Run the Jewels, who, in turn, entered the stage to a video announcement from Senator Bernie Sanders.

We've rounded up some of the best photos from weekend #1 of Coachella to give you an idea of the energy that was palpable throughout the past three days. We apologize in advance for relaying a serious case of FOMO.
