After signing to Roc Nation and releasing his well-received mixtape Up For Days in May, Canadian rapper and XO affiliate Belly is officially an artist to watch in 2016. This morning, he released the music video for mixtape standout "Might Not" feat. The Weeknd.
"I've been going hard til my eyes roll back," sings Abel, and indeed, the song's creeping synth evokes a sense that more than alcohol has been imbibed this night. The video, directed by Shomi Patwary and co-directed by Belly, waking up in the aftermath of a drug-fueled orgy at his crib. As The Weeknd wanders through the house surveying the wreckage, Belly raps from underwater... he might not make it.
