For someone who makes a good chunk of his own instrumentals, BeatKing sure works fast. Releasing his hit-filled Houston 3 AM mixtape just last month, the Houston rapper is already preparing to release the fifth installment in his Club God album series. Today he's shared the first single from the forthcoming effort, "Going Down," which finds him working with Stunt N Dozier, the production duo responsible for some of his finest records.
It bangs as hard as any track you've heard from the Club Godzilla, full of the same infectious ad-libs ("Hol Up!") and hilarious quotables ("all my haters ain't got no future, Ciara"), but never bursts into complete chaos, choosing rather to cruise along tensely-- full of energy, but just restrained enough to keep you guessing. Count on the album to drop soon.
