Bas' Milky Way has arrived not a moment too soon. Though a reputation of safe decisions precede the Dreamville brand, Bas joins J. Cole in rebuffing public perception. Two years removed from his last outing, Bas enters an ecosystem of sonic layers emanating from all corners of the globe, none more apparent than "Designer," one of the more desirous records he performs on his lonesome.

His chorus of juxtaposed wordplay may seem overly simple on paper, but hearing Panda bounce around from its happy home to a European locale is music to my ears. Bas' is not an "earthy" rapper, nor is he revolutionary in form, but the balance he's achieved is something worthy of praise. Peep "Designer" and the rest of Milky Way withheld from us for so long.

Bas is invariably patient, but don't call him a stately fellow, he spends the majority of his run time vacationing the Atlantic pipeline without a sports jacket in his carry-on.

Quotable Lyrics:

Slim chance, i gotta straight croock
Like I trace edges, let my pace tell it
I shine like the cave dwellings on their first day smelling pine
Happy Earth Day, you heard, the world is mine
And don't it show?
And nigga hate to brag but it show
I been out collectin' bags 'cause the tape a slassic
Told myself I would make it happen.
