Azealia Banks & Erykah Badu Go Back & Forth On Twitter [Update: Banks Keeps It Up]
Another day, another Azealia Banks Twitter face-off. While it had been a quieter than normal week for Banks, she couldn't help but respond to a Tweet from Erykah Badu today. It all started when Badu was asked by a fan if she listens to Azealia, to which the singer replied "tried", implying that she couldn't get into Broke With Expensive Taste.
Azealia Banks Will Cover Playboy's Next Issue
Azealia Banks returns to headlines today, and once again, it has nothing to do with her music. The rapper loves to stir up trouble on the twittersphere, but today, it's not that either. It's because she's posing nude for Playboy's upcoming April issue. The New York native was obviously excited about announcing it to the world, as she took to her twitter account to proclaim, "Now I can finally tell you, I’ll be on the COVER of @Playboy's April Music Issue!!"
140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (January 23)
What a week it has been in hip-hop. It's a week that got kicked off with tragedy. It's going to take some time for the wound that A$AP Yams left us to heal.

Azealia Banks & Lupe Fiasco Go At It On Twitter [Update: Kid Cudi Gets Involved]
This was bound to happen sooner or later. In the age of online beefing, Azealia Banks and Lupe Fiasco are two of the most prolific personalities in hip-hop. While they may often struggle to get their music out, their opinions seem to face no such problems. Lately, they've been circling each others' orbits, nearly always coming out on the opposite sides of issues, but never colliding head-on until now.
140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (January 9)
The first full week of 2015 comes with quite a bit of news. First, is the sad news of legendary SportsCenter anchor Stuart Scott, who passed away after a long battle with cancer. Then, there was the Charlie Hebdo situation in France. The latter wasn't touched on too much in the hip-hop world (although, it's certainly nothing to take lightly). There were other preoccupations, from the premiere of Empire to lineup announcements. Catch up on this week's 140 Bars Or Less.
Azealia Banks Lashes Out At Kendrick Lamar's Comments On Ferguson
Today Kendrick Lamar's Billboard magazine cover, as well as the story that goes along with it, was unveiled in its entirety. Kendrick isn't the most outspoken individual in the rap game, he's not the type to take his opinions and blast them all over twitter (like someone else in this news article), but he doesn't shy from offering an opinion when asked directly.
140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (January 2)
For some, a New Year's Day is just another day — except a little newer. That's the impression you'd get from a quick glance at rap Twitter. Old grievances carried on to 2015. But that's OK, because there are only three things that matter: new Migos, new Kanye West and Plain Pat. Check out the details on 140 Bars Or Less.

Bronson attacked the Azealia when his name was mentioned by a fan who was discussing the Harlem rapper's recent comments about white privilege.
Q-Tip Schools Iggy Azalea In Hip-Hop History [Update: Iggy Azalea Responds]

Azealia Banks Plans "Broke With Expensive Taste" Book
Azealia Banks' recent appearance on Hot 97 set off a bout of internet sparring that involved Iggy Azalea, Q-Tip, Action Bronson, Tyler, The Creator, T.I. and Solange Knowles, so much of the actual interview became overshadowed by those surrounding stories. One of the things Banks mentioned that was quickly forgotten was that she was working on a book to go along with Broke With Expensive Taste.
T.I. Addresses Q-Tip & Iggy Azalea, Azealia Banks Says He's "Indoctrinated"
T.I. once again came to Iggy Azalea's aid today on Twitter. Responding to Q-Tip, who sent Azalea a long-winded history lesson on social media earlier this week, Tip decided to share his feelings on white people in the hip-hop industry, claiming "not all white people out to steal our culture." He then addressed Iggy herself, telling his protege not to let the negativity get her down--that it's "a part of the territory."
Iggy Azalea Responds To Azealia Banks Emotional Interview On Hot 97 [Update: Anonymous Threatens Iggy]
Yesterday you may have seen the interview with Azealia Banks on Hot 97, where she got pretty emotional mid-way when discussing racism and the appropriation of black culture, particularly in relation to hip-hop. This was brought on by a discussion of Iggy Azalea, Azealia's nemesis.
140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (Dec. 13)
To say a lot of stuff happened this week would be a complete understatement. So we won't and will just give you a short recap. For one, we're living in a world where there's a new D'Angelo album. Secondly, we may soon live in a world where Bobby Shmurda is behind bars.
Action Bronson & Azealia Banks Go At It On Twitter
Both Azealia Banks and Action Bronson are known to be rather candid and outspoken when it comes to Twitter, and they just so happened to butt heads today. Following Banks' HOT 97 interview, where she spoke her mind about white appropriation of black culture, it seems that a fan of hers brought Bronson's name into the conversation.
Azealia Banks Attacks Iggy Azalea & T.I. On Twitter, Again
Since getting dropped by Universal Music Group this summer, Azealia Banks has kept herself busy, but not in the way you'd think. Instead of working on new music, she's practicing her favorite pasttime: attacking people through Twitter.
Samples Of The Week: November 27
When hip-hop began, samples were all that DJs and producers had to construct instrumental tracks with. They'd dig through crates of vinyl trying to find isolated drum breaks, melodies or vocals that they could repurpose for use in hip-hop music. Today, sampling has become less common, but a choice sample can still push a track from lukewarm to hot faster than you can say "uh-huh honey". This week, see who Rick Ross, Boldy James and Azealia Banks sampled on their recent tracks, all of which can be found on HNHH.
140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (November 21)
The rap game is still buzzing as we head into the final weeks of the year and await for the hearing from Ferguson. While the latter hasn't been announced when this post was published, rappers did find other things to be outraged about.
Charts Don’t Lie: November 16
While Taylor Swift's 1989 takeover of the charts continues, many of our r'n'b and hip-hop artists have been pushed down. Teyana Taylor actually finds herself the highest-up, debuting at #19, with her G.O.O.D. album VII. The album made a solid enough debut, moving 16,000 copies opening week, while Azealia Banks followed further behind with her own debut album Broke With Expensive Taste. Although Azealia dropped the album out of nowhere, with little to no prior promotion, she managed to sell just over 11k.
