No stranger to controversy, Azealia Banks took to Twitter last night to announce her support for Donald Trump in the upcoming presidential election.
"I think Trump is the only one who truly has the balls to bust up big business. Hilary is too tied in with them and Bernie has no clout," she wrote. "The other candidates are simply, 'Them hoes over there' #thots."
Bernie Sanders is the consensus choice among rappers (with the possible exception of Chingy). Banks, ever the contrarian, believes that an obstructionist Congress would prevent Sanders from creating the sort of legislation he is promising on the campaign trail. "My fear with Bernie, is having a man who has no clout trying to wrangle with an almost full republican House of reps," she explained.
Basically, Banks is saying that she would deal with a straight-up wolf (Trump) than a wolf in sheep's clothing (other politicians). "I am saying that politicians are inherently evil, I trust the one who is most transparent," she concluded.
