August Alsina Songs

    Planes (Remix)
On the heels of a possible release date for Jeremih's long-awaited/delayed Late Nights: The Album, we get another remix of the singer's single, with the addition of another singer, August Alsina. We first premiered a version of "Planes" that featured J.
  • Shut It Down
    Shut It Down
There are plenty of rappers singing out in Atlanta, but we haven't seen too many breakout RnB acts over the last few years. K-Major is happy to occupy that currently vacant lane, getting some of the city's most sought-after producers to work at slower tempos and building a sound that's as fresh as it is familiar.
  • Right There (Remix)
    Right There (Remix)
It's been a while since we've gotten new material from August Alsina, so a remix of one of his Testimony tracks will have to hold us over for now. Lucky for us, this new version of "Right There" features a new verse from Meek Mill. Produced by Knucklehead and Cassius Jay, the hazy, languid track is given a jolt of energy by Meek's verse. He begins it with a stop and start flow that matches up nicely with the beat, and then switches to a more motormouthed flow as the beat transitions. Let us know what you think of this new remix.
  • Hip-Hop
    Hip-Hop
August Alsina is quickly becoming one of the hottest names in R&B, though his latest single, "Hip-Hop", is named after the genre he was raised on and the spirit that drives him to this day. He was one of a couple of non-rappers on last year's XXL Freshmen cover, and rappers like Young Jeezy, Kevin Gates, and Kirko Bangz were all smart to hit him for features. His last album, Testimony, was one of our favorite R&B projects of 2014, and his latest single has given us early anticipation for his next album, whenever it may come.
  • Kissin On My Tattoos (Remix)
    Kissin On My Tattoos (Remix)
Its a New Orleans affair as Lil Wayne and August Alsina link up for the remix to "Kissin On My Tattoos".
  • I Don't Get Tired
    I Don't Get Tired
Kevin Gates has been pushing the #IDGT hashtag and concept for a minute now, and now he's come through with a single with the title. Teaming with August Alsina -- who's becoming the go-to R&B hookman after Ty Dolla $ign -- Gates dances over the tweaked out synth beat, supplying exasperated flows, melodic backing vocals, and punchy exclamations.
  • One More Shot
    One More Shot
Just when it seemed Stalley was going to have to wait forever to put out his MMG debut, the rollout for his album jumped to hyper speed. Ohio is slated to drop October 27th, and just a few days after linking up with label boss Rick Ross for "Everything A Dope Boy Ever Wanted", Stalley has joined forces with the fellow beard enthusiast once again.
  • She's A Keeper
    She's A Keeper
Snootie Wild has found plenty of success with his hyped up banger "Yayo", but today he proves he can do more than just that, with a smooth, r'n'b-like record that serenades the ladies. August Alsina helps on that front, as the singer takes care of the hook, and Yo Gotti also provides a verse on "She's A Keeper." Snootie adds some melody to his rap verse, using a slight sing-song voice on his flow.
  • Hold You Down
    Hold You Down
Just a few hours after announcing the latest mega-collaboration from his I Changed A Lot LP, DJ Khaled has unleashed the single to the interwebs. Check out "Hold You Down" and let us know what you think about the record in our comments section.
  • No Love (Remix)
    No Love (Remix)
Over the weekend we heard a short 15-second snippet of August Alsina's official remix to "No Love" featuring Nicki Minaj, and today he's decided to unleash the full mix. Nicki Minaj starts off her verse with a bit of singing to match August's (she seems to be doing that more frequently these days), and spends the second half rapping.

August Alsina has had a pretty big year, being one of the two first R&B artists to grace the cover of the XXL Freshmen Class issue (alongside Ty Dolla $ign), and releasing his debut album, Testimony.

Just yesterday Que connected with Trae Tha Truth for a new leak titled "I See Why" off the mixtape compilation '86-'87, and today he keeps things going with a new leak off his own upcoming project Can U Digg It?

Kirko Bangz has been teasing this new single off his upcoming debut album, Bigger Than Me, and finally he's ready to let the fans hear it this Monday morning. Not a bad way to start the week.
  • Right Now
    Right Now
The XXL Freshmen 2014 mixtape has arrived, and it does not disappoint with 21 new offerings from the eleven rappers on the rise (Chance The Rapper was the only one who didn't contribute to the tape). Alsina and Ty Dolla $ign both made waves this year as they were the first r'n'b singers to be included on the XXL Freshmen cover since its inception. For the mixtape, August collaborated with Tity Boi on "Right Now" and also delivered a solo joint, "Cool On You."

August Alsina's debut album, Testimony, is in stores and available online now. We'll have our review of the LP up later today, so stay tuned for that. For now, we've got a nice Best Buy bonus track for you to listen too, titled "Backseat."

Plies is still showing no signs of slowing down. After delivering the 22-track mixtape Da Last Real Nigga Left, he followed that with the tribute track “Welcome Home Boosie”.
  • FML
    FML
August Alsina's debut album, Testimony is out tomorrow, and before it's official release, we get one more track from the album. Drumma Boy supplies the beat for "FML", a mid-tempo number which comes complete with an assist from Pusha T. No word on whether this is planned as the next single from the project.
  • Get Ya Money [CDQ]
    Get Ya Money [CDQ]
Yesterday August Alsina and Fabolous' "Get Ya Money" leaked its way on to the internet, although the quality was shady at best. This morning we've received an official CDQ mix of the track, which is produced by Dun Deal. Last night we received a stream of Testimony, although it only remained available briefly and has since been taken down. Nonetheless we encourage you to pre-order the album on iTunes, it drops on April 15th.
  • Get Ya Money
    Get Ya Money
It's almost time for August Alsina to drop his debut album, Testimony. The album arrives in five days, on April 15th, and has already been the source of hits like "I Luv This Shit", while more recent records like the Rick Ross-featured "Benediction" are also buzzing.
  • Kissin' On My Tattoos
    Kissin' On My Tattoos
R'n'b singer August Alsina has created quite a bit of anticipation for his debut album Testimony, with the release of strong singles such as the Rick Ross-featured "Benediction" which we heard last week, as well as "Make It Home" with Jeezy.
