August Alsina is about to have a big year, following the release of his debut album Testimony. The album, which did surprisingly well on the charts, was just the beginning for this New Orleans native, as he also locked down a spot in the XXL Freshmen 2014 list (bringing r'n'b to the list for the very first time), plus he's up for several nominations at the upcoming BET Awards. Not to mention, his appearance on Summer Jam's Festival Village stage.
While we were chilling in the Beats Music press tent, August stopped by prior to hitting the stage and discussed being nominated for BET Awards, as well as his look on the XXL Freshmen list.
