A$AP Ant & Lil Uzi Vert
After quite a lengthy wait period, A$AP Mob finally solidified a release date for the A$AP Yams-dedicated project, Cozy Tapes Vol. 1, a project which was helmed by Yams before his untimely passing. Yesterday the NYC crew revealed the cover, tracklist and Halloween release date for the album, although the tracklist didn't share any features, we had our expectations.
A$AP Mob Feat. A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator, Playboi Carti & Yung Gleesh
Yesterday, ASAP Mob announced that their long-awaited project Cozy Tapes Vol. 1 will arrive on Halloween. They also announced that they would drop two new songs, "Telephone Call," and "Runner," on Friday. "Telephone Calls," a collaboration between ASAP Rocky, Tyler, the Creator, Playboi Carti, and Yung Gleesh, is possibly the best song Cozy Tapes Vol. 1 has yielded to date.
A$AP Mob Feat. A$AP Rocky, A$AP Twelvyy & Key!
Well that didn’t take long. Just shortly after A$AP Rocky took the stage at the MTV studios on Friday and debuted his new song with Key! called “Crazy Brazy,” the A$AP Mob decide to liberate the official version, which features A$AP Twelvyy in the mix as well.
Marty Baller has been releasing a steady stream of singles throughout 2016, and the latest is “Bag First,” and homage to to the designer bags his girls always have on their arms. While his previous tracks “Big Timers” and “Flex” have been big, this might be his biggest banger of the year.
Hella Hoes (Remix)
A$AP Mob Feat. Danny Brown & A$ton Matthews
What feels like an eternity ago, Danny Brown complained about his "Hella Hoes" remix being cut from the song on twitter. Things were very quickly patched up between Brown and the crew, but ever since, we've been hoping to hear what Danny brought to the table. Now that the Lords Never Worry project has been completely retired, the ASAP boys have shared a new version of the song, complete with the Danny verse as well as a contribution from Aston Matthews.
A$AP Twelvyy & A$AP Ant
Yesterday, A$AP Rocky let fans know that the Mob -- as it has been doing for a couple of weeks now -- will be dropping new music every Wednesday for the foreseeable future. Well, it's no "Wavy Wednesday" tonight, but on this sub-zero Saturday we've got a new collab from A$AP Twelvyy and A$AP Ant. "Poppin Bottles" is taken off a mixtape from DJ Nick Marino, one that also features appearances from Playboi Carti, Lil Uzi Vert, and more.
Remain The Same
A$AP TyY hasn’t been the most prolific A$AP Mob members, but he’s always been lurking in the wings, waiting for his chance at a shot. Now he comes through “Remain the Same,” produced by DR Manhattan. The track is as hard hitting as they come. Pounding bass is punctured often by gunshots, and an ominous choral track sits deep in the mix. TyY raps about his past cooking over the stove and selling “work off the interstate.”
1 Train Freestyle
A$AP Twelvyy has decided to drop off a little something to keep the momentum rolling after putting out his new single with Harry Fraud last Friday. Today, he shows up for a quick minute of unadulterated heat, one that finds him rapping over the instrumental of A$AP Rocky's famous 2013 posse cut, "1 Train."
A$AP Mob has been busy lately.
Yamborghini High (CDQ)
A$AP Mob Feat. Juicy J
A little while back A$AP Mob flooded OVO Radio with new music, and today, they've finally given us the full quality versions of those songs. "Yamborghini High" was a fan favorite among the releases, and it sounds even better now that we have a CDQ release. The ASAP Mob celebrated Yams day last week, and this track was a perfect way to bring it in. It has the same ethereal feel that Rocky and Yams introduced to us way back on the former's debut project, and the rest of the mob sounds great on it too. Who's got the best verse?
A$AP Rocky Feat. A$AP Ferg & A$AP Nast
The Cozy Boys, aka A$AP Lou and J. Scott, laid down a special set tonight on episode 13 of OVO Sound Radio.
A$AP Ferg Feat. Future
Earlier this month, A$AP Ferg returned with his first song in over a year, the Hit-Boy-produced "Tatted Angel." It's unclear if the song will make it on to Ferg's next album, Always Strive and Prosper, but regardless, it showed that the Hood Pope is still at the top of his game. As to what will end up on the new album -- this new banger featuring Future: "New Level."
While most of are still looking at A$AP Rocky and his recent album A.L.L.A., another lesser-known Mob member steps to the forefront today with a new single.
Electric Body (Tags)
A$AP Rocky Feat. ScHoolboy Q
After hearing the mind-bending, multi-suite "L.S.D.," there's no telling what each new Rocky drop is gonna sound like. When we first saw Schoolboy Q's name on the A.L.L.A. tracklist, we were brought back to their earlier collabs like "Brand New Guy" and "Hands On the Wheel," and we can tell you now that "Electric Body" channels that same dark energy, and it's scary good.
You may know Da$h as the only member of A$AP Mob without the "A$AP" in front of his name, though you won't forget him after this unexpected collab with ATL's hottest producer, Metro Boomin. With bangers like this, Da$h could very well be A$AP's next-up. The song is dedication to the late, great A$AP Yams, but Da$h is hardly sentimental. Instead, he's continuing the lane-forging realness that, in Yams' absence, few will be able to carry on. Da$h has definitely got the style and the grit to push A$AP forward, and we can't wait to hear what he's got for us next.
It Ain't Safe
Skepta Feat. A$AP Bari
Since hitting it big in the early '10s with the success of Rocky, A$AP Mob have been known to buck expectations of what New York rappers should sound and dress like. Though usually coming in the form of paeans to Houston's sound, EDM collabos or fashion-forward trendiness, the Mob's latest example of rule-breaking comes from A$AP Bari (AKA Young Lord, apparently), who's practically made a second home for himself in London. Today, he appears on grime veteran Skepta's new banger "It Ain't Safe."
Flacko Jodye Season is officially upon us. The countdown ended at Midnight last night, and with it came a new music video for an A$AP Rocky record titled "Multiply." The visuals can be seen below, and now Rocky hits us with the official audio for the record. It's dope, with a dark, downward spiralling beat, while Rocky uses that syrup-y flow that made him stand out from the beginning.
How To Rob The Mob
A$AP Mob are still working on their debut collaborative album, L.O.R.D., after having unleashed the single "Hella Hoes" a few weeks back.
A$AP Mob Feat. A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Nast & A$AP Twelvyy
After many delays, it appears A$AP Mob’s upcoming compilation album, L.O.R.D., is finally ready to come to fruition soon. Tonight, the A$AP mob gave Funk Flex the green light to premiere their new single “Hella Hoes”, which is a follow up to "Xscape".
Comme Des Fawk Down
A$AP TyY Feat. Young Money Yawn
Today we're introduced to a new(?) member of the A$AP Mob crew, A$AP TyY. Not to be confused with the producer, A$AP Ty Beats. The A$AP Mob seems to have members coming out of the woodwork these days. Not to throw shade though, this is a solid collaboration with another rising rapper we've had our eyes on, Young Money Yawn. We premiered YMY's new music video the other week, "Paris Morton."
