A$AP Rocky already has one foot apiece in the worlds of fashion and music, and now he's branching out even further. His next venture is acting, as he has a supporting role in "Dope," an indie film produced in part by Pharrell and Diddy that will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend.

The Rick Famuyiwa-directed flick tells of a music geek living in Inglewood in the '90s, and also features Zoe Kravitz and Chanel Iman (not so coincidentally Rocky's ex) in supporting roles. Check out a still featuring Rocky in the gallery above, and the official trailer below.

[Update: Sony Buys Film For $7 Million]

It looks like "Dope," the film A$AP Rocky appears in, is one of the biggest winners coming out of Sundance Film Festival this year. Made independently, it's now sold to Sony for $7 million, along with a minimum $20 million commitment to marketing, which are both the highest figures reported at the festival this year. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film set off an "all-night bidding war" between Sony and the Weinstein Co, which was eventually won by the former.

Expect a nationwide release date to be announced soon.
