A$AP Rocky is one of the most popular rappers in the entire game. The New York talent has been out for a minute and ever since he came up, there has been an air of mystery surrounding him. Initially backed by A$AP Yams and the rest of the Mob, Rocky has taken time to himself to deal with Yams' passing, learning how to process his emotions through music. Testing was easily his most experimental work to date and on his current tour, he's been previewing new songs that seem to be a move back to his regular vibe. During a rare interview with Angie Martinez, Rocky spoke on the current R. Kelly drama, also touching on Yams Day and his favorite female rappers right now.
If you ask most people about the best femcees in the game, some common answers you'll hear are Cardi B and Nicki Minaj. Rocky dug a little deeper though, shouting out two women that have been hustling on the low. Yams Day is taking place tonight and during his interview, Rocky shared a few more names that we can expect on the card, including Young M.A. "Shout out to Young M.A," he said. "I love her too. She's one of the illest female rappers. OD. I love her style it's just ... and you know who else I like? You ever heard of this chick Rico Nasty? You gotta check her out she's fire."
He goes on to shout out Cardi and Nicki, moving on to Tierra Whack and teasing that the fourth AWGE DVD will shed light on all the dopest females in hip-hop.
