An important facet of memorable groups throughout hip-hop history is chemistry: the dynamics every member brings to the table is an essential part of a group's success. Black Hippy's rise to the top has been so prevalent and quick because each of their four main members - Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Kendrick Lamar - each bring something radically different to what the crew represents.

Many emcees are noted for their serious, aggrandized personas so it becomes easy to forget that for the most part, Hip Hop is about fun and many rappers use their verses to tell some jokes (isn't that why they call them punch lines?).
Sneaker names, and the sneakers themselves, are often a cause of criticism, especially amongst sneaker communities. At times, the criticism and ridicule can turn into a full blown controversy. Sometimes, the controversy surround a sneaker is silly and unwarranted. Other times, it's hard to believe a sneaker ever made it out of the factory in the first place.
At first look, the Nike LeBron 11 Low looks very similar to the Nike LeBron X Low. The low-top 11 will utilize Nike Air Max cushioning, rather than the Lunarlon used in the traditional version. The shoe figures to drop during the Spring although a release date has not been set.
In early 1999, a white rapper came out of relative obscurity and pissed off a lot of people. He was a white kid from Detroit, backed by a legend in Dr. Dre, and savvy music -industry heavyweight Jimmy Lovine. Who was this bleach blond asshole liberally speaking about slitting his father’s throat and stuffing his baby’s Mama into the trunk of his car?
Overall album sales are up this week by 20% according to Nielsen, and we may have Valentine's Day purchases to blame for this one. Perhaps lovers were picking up Drake's Nothing Was The Same, and some r'n'b albums for V-Day? Along with Drake seeing a rise in sales, so did Justin Timberlake, R. Kelly, Beyonce and John Legend-- those are all very Valentine's Day-worthy releases.
The Jordan 11 Low "Aqua Safari" can be added to the list of summer releases. A specific release date has not been set, but this "Aqua Safari" colorway would be fitting for a summer release alongside the other Air Jordan 11 Lows.

When hip-hop began, samples were all that DJs and producers had to construct instrumental tracks with. They'd dig through crates of vinyl trying to find isolated drum breaks, melodies or vocals that they could repurpose for use in hip-hop music. Today, sampling has become less common, but a choice sample can still push a track from lukewarm to hot faster than you can say "uh huh honey."
