Today is an annual shopping event in the United States known as Black Friday. With deals on just about everything across the web and in stores, a lot of people get their Christmas shopping on today, and even a little personal shopping done for themselves. For rappers, this kind of shopping is done on a weekly basis, and it's usually not based off whether something is on sale.
In his latest rant against Nike, Kanye went bananas on a recent interview with Sway Calloway on "Sway in the Morning" on Sirius XM radio.
Dissecting the foibles of the hip hop community as expressed in under 140 characters on Twitter. Not just used as a device to flood people's timelines with your new track, album, video, or clothing line, sometimes rappers truly channel the unfiltered interaction with fans. This week features Tyler, The Creator, Danny Brown, Chief Keef and more!
The Air Jordan 5 "Oreo" is scheduled to drop on Friday, November 29th. The Black Friday release is fitting for the predominately black Oreo 5. The sneaker is constructed of an all black suede upper, with a cool grey jumpman on the tongue. A white midsole and inner lining complete the oreo look, which also features an icy blue sole.
This Air Jordan 5 "Smash" custom comes to us by way of Sekure D. The "Grape" 5 served as the base for this ripped kick, which focuses on detailed muscle fibers a la Hulk. The green muscles handle the toe box and break through the ripped purple on the ankle collar and heel. Overall, a really cool inspiration for yet another film-inspired sneaker.
It's Thanksgiving today, so while you enjoy your day off with family and friends and probably some turkey, you can also waste time by clicking through our twerky gifs! Not much to explain here, just something (sort of) festive for the holiday. Who doesn't enjoy a good Thanksgiving twerk? We hope that Miley Cyrus one doesn't turn you off turkey completely though.
In honor of Thanksgiving tomorrow, it's time to reflect on the Top-5 things that sneakerheads should be thankful for.
It’s almost that time of year again, where you get to stuff your face with delicious food and hang out with your close friends and family. Like us normal folk, rappers celebrate Thanksgiving too.
The Nike Kobe 8 "What The Kobe" has a December 6th release date, good luck on your quest to pick up these bad boys. The classic gradient style blending of the Nike Kobe 8 works perfectly with the iconic "What the MVP" mashup of all the signature's colorways. The left shoe features a mostly blue design with hints of red and purple, whereas the right shoe is composed of a green and red colorway

Chris Brown's new X-Files EP features six brand new tracks that didn't make the final cut for his highly anticipated yet perpetually delayed album X. Although the singer has attempted to distance himself from the media lens and his missteps outside of entertaining, for many listeners, the line between his personal life and his music will remain forever blurred.
It's official. Kanye has left Nike to team up with Adidas and their Y-3 line. In case you were living under a rock for the past 24 hours, Kanye left Nike because he was not receiving any loyalties. Apparently, because he is not an athlete, Nike could not pay him any royalties; which didn't fly with 'Ye. Kanye isn't the only musician capable of designing his own sneakers though.
The 90s are often referred to as rap's golden era, and while rappers of all types will continue to pay tribute to the decade, Drake definitely takes it to the next level. Drizzy's love affair with the 90s can be traced to all facets of his artistic output, from his music, to his videos, to his "interesting" fashion choices.
Wiz Khalifa is currently working on a new album, Blacc Hollywood. He's already revealed some of the artists he's working with on the album, including The Weeknd, Miley Cyrus and Adele, while he's released just one (possible) album cut, "Look Into My Eyes." Although the updates on the album have been a little slow lately, we got to speak to Wiz about the whole concept of 'Blacc Hollywood.'
The team over at Sole Clinics came through big time with this carbon fiber Air Jordan 11 custom. The all-black colorway looks super smooth, swapping the iconic patent leather for a more rugged carbon fiber. Despite losing it's iconic patent leather, the sneaker doesn't miss a beat in terms of catching the eye.
Every workplace has them: the ones who are always whining, needing things their way, arguing with co-workers, getting suspended, goofing off, over-reacting, and generally acting immaturely. What we call these people might vary - from "Diva" to "That Asshole in Accounting", or something more personal and demeaning - but their childish antics can liven up any work environment.
